Dont meen to be blowing up the forms often but my truck is being a total pain in the ass and i dont know where the problem is starting at. I had a edge comp box and it would fuel hard spike 40lb of boost and pull hard, it started getting surgey and boost wouldnt hit 40psi any more but would still fuel hard, so i thought it was the box. So lost 5th gear and popped my head gasket. Long story short got a new cr head, o rings, and studs. sold the comp box and im set up with the adrenaline with pulse comp3 tune. Had a bad MAP sensor now got a new one. Now im have the same thing, down low feels good, boost stopping and 29lb, had a mid range shudder one time, and feels like its breaking up in the top end. put a boost controler on it to see if i could get some more boost out of it. It went to 35 stay for a bit then up to 42 and still running real ****ty in the top. Adjusted the boost controler one more time 4th gear pull 35lb.....and POP truck dies coast into a feild... air lock the pump i guess cracked the lines got it started now its parked. WTF is going on someone have any idea.. there are no check engine lights it just feels like a pile of dog **** on wheels. If someone has the time and knowledge i would greatly appreciate it.

Could be the injection pump goin out... Not getting enough fuel to the injectors.

VP is heading south.

Bet you getting a loapy idle once in awhile too?

I do get a pop in the idle when its up to temp. I have a new pump on and it has 10k miles on it. How many miles have people been seeing there pump go out.

what do you have for a fuel system your vp should last alot longer than 10k miles but if you dont have a good fuel system its possible

is your fass good i have friend that has a 150 and has already lost one vp and his other one is heading south but he wont listen to me hes gettin 11mpg max

what is a good way to check the fass?? fuel pressure guage... i have noticed that my mpg went down the crapper

Sounds like the notorious ADR drained the rotor in the pump. Happened to me almost everytime i ran the truck hard. Thats why i no longer have one. What tune are you running in the ADR????

Also you might try to check for boost leaks. One of the main places is the intercooler on the pass. side right where the air comes in from the turbo. It will leak around the corse at the end. You might be able to just look and there might be some discoloration at the ends of the cores.

Also you really need a Fuel pressure guage. My took a crap on me a while back and had to send it in to get fixed. Just always nice to know for sure you got good fuel pressure.

I was running the comp3 tune when it drained the rotor. I havnt checked the intercooler yet so that will be a deff. tommorow. My adrnaline came with the fuel pressure hook up i just need to buy the sender, thats realy folish of me with a vp truck. I really like this ADR on the down low but its not proving it self to me yet. My heart is still with the edge comp.

Rotor draining is really no new phenomenon on 24v trucks... They have always done it with big injectors and mucho cylinder pressure. Just the natiire of the beast I guess.
