on the grades my camper weights in around 10500 fully loaded water and all. Can everyone please tell me the pros and cons of a cam for everyday driving and pulling

Put an hx35 on the truck. 2002 has an hy very small turbine housing.

really you will get way more from a turbo than you will a cam. call htt and see if you can still get there 57-14 or get a 62-12. that will put your temps back down.

You need more air in the form of a larger huffer, be cheaper and easier than a cam.

easier yes, cheaper...no

a turbo will run $800-1800 depending on what you get, but it can be installed by a novice in a couple hours. a cam is a full day job if you are a competent mechanic, but runs about $500.

a 58-60mm turbo choice would be best for you for towing with the amount of fuel/power you have.
