Need help with redline

Truck is a 99, an I just bought a redline for a 01. I dont have the correct map sensor for it but I called Chip yesterday an he said it would be fine to run it without the map sensor plugged in. The display says map sensor error an I dont know how to clear it so I can go to the other display. Chip said to hold the red an black button together an it would clear, but I cannot seem to get it to work. Need Help Fast, leaving for a pull in a few hours.........Thanks Brian

Hold the buttons down while you turn the key forward.
