ok here it is i was offered a cummins 12v motor the other day and i am looking for opinions wheather to get it. the motor isnt even together. it has a head, pistons, rods, and various parts. it has no crank, injection pump or flywheel. im going to build it for the race track. so i didnt know if they offer aftermarket crank and rods for it. or is it worth it? is a stock one good enough? and how i should build it. input please!!!

If you have the money they offer whatever you want...

If it's free, sure get it. If it costs it's gonna come down to how much and exactly what all is there if it's worth it or not.

its a bare block with assembled head, pistons, rods a box of stuff like intake, sensors. pretty much the motor has to be assembled. the important parts are missing like timing case injection pump crank lol the price he wants is $300

for parts it is definately worth it. The cylinder head alone (if it is crack free) is worth over $300

As long as the parts are no damaged that is a great price. Good luck with your build.

For sale section is your best friend here.. and to be honest if your "building" the motor.. 300 is a STEAL since the missing parts like pump can be upgraded a bought.. saves you hassle of trying to sell ur stock pump. id buy it for 300.. worst case scenario part it out!
