I need some Motivation
Since Oct 25th ish the truck has set in the back yard broken, clutch is toast, trans leaks fluid bad and rear main leaks some.
I really need to haul it to work and get it tore apart, but I have no desire in doing it all.
I watch some pulling videos and go blah latley
All I wana do is order go fast parts for the sleds and go ride them , or go out to clubs and hang with friends
What do i need to do to get a fire lit to go get ready to pull???

just remember, you can only ride you sleds for 4 months a year.....if that!

Plus How much money you got dumped into that truck??????

swap out the hand shaker for a built auto and go drag racing joe!

ive seriously almost ordered a drag track and skis

i don't want to think of the money into it, its depressing

Sell it then, its just a ford and will never run as good as a dodge. or you could use the motor as an anchor for you pontoon boat while you are partying. face it, you really cant do anything to it to make it any better.

this is only to piss you off and motivate you so you work on it and come out and beat some dodges next year... LOL

I kinda feel like selling mine sometimes too and just fixing my Dmax up real nice. But I just cant bring myself to do it. I live and breathe it in the summer. Sure it would save me some money, but then what am I gonna do? Sit at home with my money? LOL

i know im going to hell for saying this but you can sit anywhere you want with your money..........yep.........im gonna burn in hell for that.......:banned:

Well look at the pics you posted up of you pullin. Big crowd, lots of smoke, good hook, Lots of horses sittin out front of ya, Good guys back in the pits....where else you gonna get all that at? And the drag racin world is just that, the drag racin world, cant replace the Truck Pullin guys in the pits. Plus you got a good lookin Ford out there.

I think everyone out there in the pulling world feels that way sometimes. Heck I'm that way off and on all year. But if you were to sell the truck or just stop doing it, and you go to watch a pull, you will just be siting there on the sides wishing you were the one in front of the hook.:bang And from the pictures you have on here it seems you've got one hell of a truck:rockwoot: Wish you pulled around here, looks like I'd have some competition.

Come on Joe there aren't that many true Fords left. Yeh there are some newbies but to get where we are they better have some deep pockets. I remember pulling at Haisley's a few years ago. Things have changed a lot since then. You know I've thought about getting out. My truck needs some tlc before next year too. Heck I've had to travel so much to pull thats enough to make you quit. Get past the winter blues and it will be different.

What I hate there is it's not a true street class any more. My truck is barely streetable at all. I don't know. Maybe when it gets to that point I'll rethink what I'm doing. There are two new tracks coming to my area this year. That should make it easier to keep going. Don't give up!

I feel your pain,, I am in the same vote with my truck,, so much work to do,, so little ambition.... so little money,, so much money invested..... its hard

Look at as wrenching on the truck being part of your personal fittness plan keeps you healthy, in shap, and young.

NOW PUT DOWN THE DAMN DOUGNUT, GET YOUR ASS OF THE COUCH, AND GO WORK ON YOUR RIG JOE!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont wana sell it.. other then more tuning is all i can do. With out spending the big $$ for a built motor. I am really out classed in 2.8 with it and dont think 2.6 can flow enough air to stay cool...

I hear you, the true street day are over.. Mines really not streetable any more at all. Welded rear killed that, but the 390cc injectors don't help the streetability either. The traveling is the killer and for once a day .... now 2 pulls same day close with times where you can make both is nice!

I know how you feel Joe. I'll be motivated enough when all my parts get here but to just do some tuning right now, it's too cold and the house is too warm to be in the garage.
