My truck pumping out huge clouds of blue smoke (smells like oil) after moderate boost ( 40 psi). I have had the turbos looked at and im told there fine. I have replaced the head thinking it was valve guides and apparently it wasnt that either. I dont have excessive blowby but there is a light haze at the end of the tube. If it were a broken ring wouldnt it run rough or have a ton of blowby? The broken ring is what im fearing the most, any thaughts would be greatfull thanks.

did you by chance look at the crosshatching in the cylinder??? If you had a broke ring it might have scared the cylinder wall

There didnt appear to be any scaring, but I could have easily missed it on 5 or 6 where its hard to see. It sure dont run like its down on a cylinder but I imagine with the large amounts of rotating mass it would be hard to tell. Would a broken compression ring allow all this oil into the cylinder ro woudl it have to be an oil control ring?
