I have a 94 Dodge 2500. At the track the other night, the vacuum actuator for the 4WD did not fully engaged and caused it to strip the inner axle shaft. I'm trying to find a one piece inner axle to do away with the vacuum actuator.

Does anybody know where I can get one?

ok I found them. Thanks i may go that way but thats alot of money
I have heard you can use a axle from a 01 or 02 but not sure. I have not got to talk to anyone who has done this.

The 02's were one piece, some of the late 01's as well. On mine I just slid the collar over so it was locked and put the fork behind it, been like that for 2 years and a couple 4wd 20 psi launches.

A friend of mine installed a RH inner axle out of an 02 into his 99 24v truck. Slid right in. You may be able to find one from a salvage yard axle or may not be that expensive to buy from Yukon or other axle mfg.

from what i am finding out the 01/02 are 32 or 35 spline and mine is 30 spline anyone know?

I believe you are correct up till 98 they are 30 spline. 98 and up they are 32 spline.

I thought the inners were all the same and just the outers were different? If that's the case you could just use the 02 inner and your outer.

I think it is the inner axle spline that is different. I know my 95 has 30 spline cause I changed the carrier to a limited slip.

did the 02's have hub locks? why were they only 1 piece, i can't seeing CAD working like that.

It doesn't work like that, the cad is completely eliminated. They've been doing it this way from 02 to now.

so do they just have electric hub locks... that's wild for oem, cad isn't very good anyways

Late '02 and newer all run a live front axle, so everything is spinning all the time. A set of locking hubs will fix that up though.
