Need Some Input, pump went out last night

Well last night I was pulling out of a parking lot, and got on it in 3rd for a guy who was looking at my truck earlier.Then skip shifted to 5th and was easy on the pedal because I didn't want to smoke like crazy. Once I started loosing speed I started to step on the accelerator harder and it was a complete dead pedal. The truck dropped down to an idle and I was mashing the pedal and nothing was happening. Then it shut down on its own and I cranked it into an empty parking lot. No start.
I never had any warning of this happening, and as far as I know my pump has always had a FASS supplying fuel to it.
What do you guys have to say?

I'm thinking of getting out of this truck before the VP gets me again:bang
 
Mine just up and died going to work, wasnt even on it that hard. Codes?
 
You think you may have air locked the pump? Have you tried bleeding any of the injector lines?
 
Just the 1693 companion code. I need my buddy to check it with the scanner and see what else is in there. I doubt the pump is air locked because of how it happened. I had the dead pedal as the RPM's were dropping, then it idled for a few seconds then shut down.

Could it be just the TPS? I haven't seen these scenarios enough to know thats why I'm looking to you guys.
 
yup. figured as much. I might get a 'new' pump from Industrial and then try to sell the truck. I doubt its worth much as it sits now.
