what would be a good replacement turbo for a lly with a edge juice only and i know the stock turbo would do it but this guy is wanting a bigger turbo and head studs so when someone is paying you you do what they ask thanks guys

Danville Performance also does the modified stock chargers and PPE has an aftermarket VVT turbo that is nice and comparable to the modified stockers. you could try both of those as well. :D

I have a friend with one of Danville's modified chargers on his LBZ and he loves it. Makes good power, is plenty streetable and still tows good. He did have Mark do some custom tuning though when they swapped it out. I'd say there'd still be a nice gain to be had with the modified stocker (either Danville's or Fleece's) even with simple tuning like the Edge or regular PPE. Obviously not like custom tuning but still some gain nonetheless.

MPI Twins (Keeps the stock turbo stock), save the money from the studs and buy EFI Live! Stock trans? If so, leave it alone until it's built!

This is where I would tell my customer to do some research. There is NO need for head studs with an edge and turbo. It is money wasted. I don't like selling something to someone knowing they would be better off putting that money somewhere else. I am not bagging on you so please do not take it that way.

If it were mine I would do the bd supermax, danville, or ppe turbo, and use the money he would have spent on head studs on the trans. or a better tuner (PPE).

the truck has a stage 3 or 4 suncoast in it. and the main reason for doing the studs is because the engine is out of the truck and it would be easier to do before putting it back i the truck he may also end up putting some f1 injectors in it.

If he's going to be installing injectors, he is going to need custom tuning anyhow (EFI). He is also most likely going to need a better CP3 to fuel the new injectors/turbo. It might run OK with the Edge and an upgraded turbo, but nowhere close to what it should. First thing to do is get rid of the Edge. Talk with Dan @ PPE for a custom tuned handheld, or somebody that makes good tunes with EFI. I would mention the name of an EFI tuner that is good with singles, but admin would prob ban my post. Sounds like the guy needs to do some research, before jumping into this...

I too am really happy with my Danville VVT and the service I received there. I'd recommend Danville Performance and Mark Broviak to anyone looking for a modded VVT charger.

GT4088 or the 4094 are both great drop in setups. Great for towing and also easily enough to control drive pressures with. I am just not a big fan of the VVT chargers for the price and the performance gain. JMHO

Old mechanical injection mentality that you need to run a bigger turbo & injectors to make any power.

I like injectors in the dmax's...it's much easier on the motor..

Our shop phone is 765.676.5063... The other numbers are cell's web guy is supposed to change the contact page but hasn't.

No, I am just comparing it to price on what people where suggesting above.

$2750 for a modified VVT
or
$2800-$2900 for a 4088R or a 4094R Garret setup.

If your looking more bang for the buck then those....
Standard 4088 with install kit $1900!!!!

By just putting injectors in your not really resolving the factory turbo issues and concerns that we see.

I currently have a Dannville charger and want to go bigger. I torn as to what to do. Im afraid that a 4094 will be to small.

Not all modded VVT's are in that price range. ;)

Mark Broviac, Danville Performance 317-745-8587 tell him Brian told you to call...

The VNT's we build are as capable as a GT4088/94R with none of the lag.
