need trans help

i dont plan on makin any crazy power or abusing it, but i want to beef up my trans so it will hold,. i make a few trips a year to drag strip but thats about it....... what do i need to do without buying a complete billet tranny? its an 4.5 2500 4x4

I'd recommend a converter and shift kit minimum. If you're doing boosted launches a billet input shaft minimum. From there it's pretty much break it, upgrade it. Crazy power and abusing it? You will ubuse it probably, and crazy power is probably in your future. Diesel power is addictive!

I was in the same boat as you, not planning on making super big power but I wanted something I would never have to worry about. I went full billet from Garmon's, you should give him a call, I think you may be surprised at how much you can get a full billet trans for.
