Needing new transmission

Like the title says I need a new trans. mine bucks and kicks and don't shift right I think I've about finished it if. My question is how stoutly built should I get my new trans. I'm probably gonna go with a Suncoast they're only a coulpe hours drive from me. I also thought about getting someone to rebuild mine stouter, my good friend is a mechanic and can rebuild transmissions and I also have a cousin who has a transmission shop, in this case where could I get some good performance parts to rebuild my trans. Sorry this is so long, but all answers will be appreciated, trying to save as much $$$ as I can.

build it to hold 800+hp...that way you will never have to mess with it again

You can buy the rebuild kit from Suncoast and all the other parts that you will need. I just had mine over done, billet input and output shafts, new fly wheel, all new electronics. If you have it out do it right the first time.

A little over $4K. I already had a Goerend t/c and I had the v/b already too, it saved me some money.

For 5k. I got a built tranny and HD flex plate and billet input shaft from dave.
