I just put new ball joints in and its clunking again(when I hit the brakes). Could I have messed them up? Do the control arms that hold the front axle wear out?

Upper/lower shock mounts will make the same thump you are refring to.

diesel dood-when I had problems with the sway bar links, it would clunk when turning. My problem is a clunk when stopping.

Shock mounts will clunk when stopping?

check your track bar bushings they clunk when worn out and the brakes are applied or the truck is turned

If it just clunks when braking check the caliper hardware for slack where it slides on the mounting bolts/pins and make sure the brake pads are not fitting loose in the caliper.$.02

Update-I noticed the truck moving side to side when moving the steering wheel. Had my son move the wheel and the frame joint on the track bar is loose. Ball joints seem fine, sure seemed like a ball joint problem though.

Whats the favorite track bar upgrade?

Does DT have a website? I'm pretty sure I have more issues cause I feel more clunks than the trac bar, and hear more noises.
