well im sure youve seen my threads on breakage in the last few weeks. i just dont have the cash to keep this truck a puller. i need something i can drive if i need to and not break everytime i get it out. here's how its built now.

Built trans
ATS internals.
Billet input shaft.
Heavy duty transfer case.
B&M slap shifter
pillar gauges
recall tac
150 gph fast fuel system
hybrid hx50 turbo w/ 2.6 bushing
911 pump off of a 1998 dodge
custom cut delivery valves
5000 gsk
other pump mods by Haisley Machine
hardened keepers and titanium keepers
60# valve springs
ported and polished
12mm head studs and fire rings
cam from Haisley Machine
5x18 injectors

now im thinking...... detuning the pump some and back the timing down. and probably change the full cuts and 5k's. then using this 3.0 turbo ive got sittin on the shelf in the shop and putting it under either and hx40 or 62/71 for a set of twins. that way i could drive it and tow with it and i wouldnt have the turbo lag of the big single. like i said ive got a 3.0 charger i got from work. it needs freshened up so im gonna call TDI tomorrow after work and see what they would charge to go through it. my problem will be fabbing the piping. i dont have anyway to bend the larger tubing. not looking to make 800hp or anything. just a good running driver i can tow with. so any suggestions would be awesome. and the cheaper the better.

Other than the pump mods you listed, I'd say you probably don't need 5x.018s if you aren't shooting for some big power.

x2 I'd say drop down to 5x.014s... Maybe try one of ED's 62/68/13ss turbos on top, a tad quicker to come up and shouldn't be terribly restricting up top $.02

yea thats sorta what i was thinkin. what would be a good size? im thinkin id like to be in the 600hp area but driveable. which should be easy with the exisiting mods and twins.

Keep the 5x18's abd get some 181 DV's. With a 62mm under the 3.0 charger would clear up that smoke pretty good.

Im thinking with the power your already making, and a good set of twins, I dont think 800hp is that far out of its range!

that sucker would make a cool drag racer!!!!!!

haha. yea not lookin to make it a drag racer. just something that will run good and be driveable with out screwing up everytime i have it out like it does now

well since moneys sorta tight right now ive decided to go with an HE351 over an 80mm Garrett charger i had sittin in the garage. gettin a good deal on the 351 and the garrett is gonna be rebuilt and rebalanced by TDI in indy. got a friend in utah makin my plumbing.. all in all ill have well under $1000 in this twin set. eventually ill step up to a 62/68 or a 62/71 top.

im not sure if he's on here or not. his name is kortney nieffenegger. but my twins plan might crash n burn before it ever leaves the ground. i was talkin to mark burris from TDI in indy today and he said he thinks the charger i have to use as a bottom charger will be too big cause the exhaust housing is a t6 1.41 a/r. so he thinks its gonna be too big. but im gonna run it over to him and let him check it out tomorrow and see what he thinks.
