Yes they will work well for what you are doing. Amount of boost is one determining factor, but valve float can be due to too much boost or drive pressure forcing the valve open prematurely or from the spring not having enough pressure to control the valvetrain. In this instance, these springs would keep the valve from bouncing on the seat. The other reason I would do them is if you decide to go with a performance camshaft that has more aggressive ramp rates and/or lift.
