Hey alls...

I've got an '03 Z71 Tahoe... I am just finishing my 4bt-a Cummins swap.. truck is driveable and runs good... Need to get a few electrical bugs worked out but other then that I'm happy with it so far.

I just finished building a 4l80e with help from Jakes Performance for it and got it swapped in...

Looking to compound boost it here very soon. I swapped an hx30w in place of the h1c... turned up the fuel a bit... planning on compounding it with either an hx35 or hx40 for a nice street setup... shooting for 550-600lb ft to the pavement.

Should be plenty to move this 1/2 ton suv and pull just about anything since it'll have double the power the stock 5.3 did...

Anyways... I'll post up some pics later today of the build...

I'm really needing an intercooler from a d-max truck of the same year range if anyone knows of anybody who has one... having trouble finding one locally.

Damn! That's cool!

How did you get the dash warning lights to go off? I have an 01 Burb that might get a Cummins treatment.

Also, I would rethink that exhaust manifold.

I like!! Not sure about the exhaust manifold, either.

Cool build, what part of Indiana you in, I am also from southern indiana

thanks for all the comments guys..

as for the manifold, its fairly common practice on the 4bt to run a chopped 6b manifold. I plan on building a tubular manifold down the road, but this seems to be working fine thus far.

I'm in Boonville, in.. Just outside of Evansville. Good to see some locals on.

As far as my dash lights and what have you.. . still working on a couple bugs.. but all Ive got for warning lights that are on currently is a CEL and battery charge light.. all the stock gauges now work along with 90% of the trucks electronics.

Its getting there.. slowly but surely

Got my ecu in from black bear performance... they turned off all of the engine and trans related trouble codes... but still have some bugs to work out..

I also was able to get my custom switch panel finished tonight... when I get time, I'll post pics up.

Thanks for all the comments

Awesome build!!!!where r u located at in Indiana?

Boonville, IN he said above.

Sweet build man! I love the cummins red too, i think SteedSpeed builds manifolds for the 4bt now. How are those half ton axles going to love life with the added low end torque.. Might wanna look into that soon too.
Again, sweet build and good luck to ya!

Lol... yeah I'm planning on swapping an h2 14 bolt in the rear before too long.. not sure about the front. I know of a few who have done the 2500hd front swap but its not cheap by any means... might consider solid axle swapping it eventually but the front might be fine. I have no intentions of pulling or offroading hard in it..

Only time will tell I suppose

Steed does make manifolds for the 4b.. kinda pricey at the moment though... and I just so happen to have a stockpile of 1.5" sch10 304ss 90s and 45s... along with a t3 flange... I just need a stainless head flange but I sure as hell am not giving 150+ for that.

I'll have to talk to my buddy at the machine shop and see if they can cut something on the water jet table for it..

Anyone have a cad drawing of a head flange?

Turned out pretty slick in my opinion. I may have a line on a d-max intercooler too... more progress soon hopefully
