Whats up everybody? I want to introduce myself as ILLINOISRAM and i'm from Champaign IL area. I have had diesel trucks sinc my first one at 14. I couldn't drive it other than around the farm, but i wanted it any way. I have always been a Ford man until i Bought a 2003 F350 dually 4x4 six speed with the 6.0. I had so much trouble with it, I didn;t even get a chance to tune on it. After that i bought a dodge and so far haven't looked back. Current truck is a 98 12 valve qc dually 4x4 nv4500. Motor mods include rebuilt stock bottom end, 14 mm head studs and fire ringed block with new head, flow benched 215 pump at 500cc's, .120 lines to 300 marine injectors at 22* timing. ATS manifold to a custom HX50 turbo feeding 6'' miter cut stacks. PowerParts Enginerring DD pulling clutch, traction bars and 285/75/16 Interco TRUXS M/T. I drive this thing to work, pull it and all around drive the snot out of it. Itried to dyno it once and was told i had too much fuel that i was putting the fire out, so I tell every one I dynod at 388 horse. This post is long enough so if anyone is interested i can tell the rest of the story some other time. Tim

Welcome to Comp D! I just joined myself. I'm from a little farther north. I see you run the truxus m/t. How do you like them and how are they holding up? I'm going to be needing tires soon and am just trying to get everyone's feedback on what are some good tires.

Schwinn68, thanks for the reply (the rest of you guys too). I have about 24,000 miles on them and they are shot. But i have pulled with them, done numerous 3rd gear burnouts and they are under constant heavy accelleration when i am driving. So as far as the mileage goes, i am happy with them. The performance is good too. They are not as noisey on the road as what i thought they might be. They will dig too weather in snow or dirt. I don't mud with truck but i do pull a gooseneck trailer with them and often get in the mud and have never had them fail to get me out. I think they were about $160 a piece so as far as mud tires go thats not to bad for the quality. And the most important part is the look cool! That my $.02
