I am on my second Dodge-Cummins powered truck. I bought a new 2001.5 2WD automatic, Laramie. I installed DD2's and had a full DTT trans done. I sold it and bought a 12-06 build, 2007, 5.9 with the AE ratio 6 spd G56 trans. I did a 30 year stretch at UPS and "Torture tested" alot of trucks (Package cars is the official UPS term). I am 56 yrs old and started with diesels in 1981 with a brand new VW Dasher Diesel wagon that I drove for 19 years. I modified the Dasher with an Audi 5 spd and a 1.6 NA diesel engine.
I also own a 1939 Willys pick-up truck I bought in 1971, I restored a European model 1955 VW beatle about 16 years ago. I also modified it with period hop-up goodies such as 1957 Porsche drum brakes, later full synchro trans and a built 1700cc, 2 barrel engine. I have a 1967 Triumph 200cc Tiger Cub motorcycle.
I do some Mercedes diesel work and some Dodge-cummins work. I retires 3 years ago and lie is G O O D.
