I've got what my florida title says is a 97 2500 excab 2wd, but I made it into what I wanted out of 5 or 6 trucks. frame is an 02 2500 excab sb 4x4, front clip 94 5.9 gas truck, sb off 94 1500
96 160 pump 12v with following mods currently:
-4k gsk
-191dv
-7x0.010 cpps
-3 piece mani
-60# springs haisley retainers
-arp studs
-16.5* timing
-raptor 150
-tork tek ofv60
-xx fuel filter and separator 1/2" lines
-industrial injection super phat shaft 62/14/71
tranny t-case 98 2500 nv4500
axles 3.54gears 99 dana 60 and 96 dana 70posi (got a dana 80 and detroit true trac but not in)
leveling kit with bd adjustable track bar, 98-99 HD steering and a steering box stabilizer
315/75r16 coopers
no pictures currently because its 2 different colors hasn't been painted yet
Plans for the truck from here, I have a fresh cummins still in a bag and head that i got on craigslist last year for $900 I want to put a cam in and install my upgrades on and a cousin of mine wants my current motor. I also have a whole 4x4 nv4500 in pieces with plans to have the gears micro polished and cryo treated to go behind it with 1 3/8" input and southbend dual disc, and a 241dhd to go with it that needs a rebuild.
I'm looking for some opinions on the best cam, its going to be a street truck with some towing here and there and some trips to the strip for fun. I need it to be a good fit with my upgrades for just a rock solid truck.
always looking to expand my contacts base so if your in the tampa area and you have alot of diesel experience I'd love to pick your brain for info or hit up a car show w/e, Im also very big into the gen III chevy motors lsx especially in classics (72 chevelle lsx viper t56 combo ive built up since I got it at 15)
