Guys and Gals,

I am in the market for a used diesel pickup. Used being pre 2000. I need some help in asking the right questions. There are some good deals out there, and some too good to be true deals. I just want to make sure I know what I am getting into.

So far, I think I have narrowed it to a mid 90's Ram 2500 ext cab or quad type cab because of the 12v engine. I understand that it is the best one for a WVO conversion. This is what I would like to be able to do eventually. Is it that much better than others? The truck is going to be for hauling a landscape trailer and beach and hunting. What else should I look at or stay away from?

Thanks guys.

Scott

imo they are the most reliable cummins fuel system ever put on a 5.9

look for an old farmers truck that is all stock

Yep the guy with a booty avy is right, the 12V fuel system is far more reliable than any other out there, they can run some crude fuel sources for sure.
