new to the site and need some help

[79plymouth]

I am building a 79 plymouth trail duster and putting a 5.9 cummins out of a 89 pickup in it and i need a little help with some info on trying to make 500-600 hp. I have experience working on diesels i have a super farm pulling tractor but this is my first time hot rodding a cummins i need to know if i should girdle the block fire ring or if i don't have to I want to be able to make the suv streetable but make some good power and smoke with out breaking my wallet thanks
