Elkins Motor Speedway
US 219
Kerens, WV 26276

Google Maps: Old US-219 & Clifton-Nail Run, Kerens, WV

This location was chosen because it has the facilities in place. Stands, concessions, pits and camping are there and ready. A test and tune will be held on Apr, 25th and the first official pull is set for May 2. These dates are tentative. I'll post the times as they are available to me.

As second location, closer to Fairmont WV, is under negotiation. I can't give any details on this until the contracts are in place. I'm very excited about this one.

All needed equipment to conduct the pull and or build the track is available and on hand. The sled is at the equipment yard and ready to go. Anyone that's pulled much will be very familiar with this sled. All I will say is it's Green.

This news is big for the sport of pulling and the state of WV. Everything from lawn tractor pulls, circle track, mud racing to drag racing is being discussed. A multi location pullings series may be in the works. As I get the information I will pass it along.

kevin buddy, After hearing the man talk im @#$%in stoked :rockwoot:.
Things look really good for all of us pullers in the area, we will keep everyone informed.

All kinds of local pulls this year! I hear that Fayette county PA. will be once a month possibly.

If everything goes as planned you should be able to hook once or twice a week within a couple hour drive from the Morgantown area.

No it's your garden variety brush pull. They are looking at having a couple bigger pull through out the year but nothing is booked yet. I do know they talked to Eric at DHRA. Hint Hint... Gene... :poke:

A little bit of smooth talking and maybe we could get a dyno lol. Im guessing this will be better than lets say a brush pull, with some rules that look very familliar to a large sactioning body that frequents our area. This is great news for our region. I hope it sparks some interest of people in the area to build trucks, which i think it will.

vary cool we go to Davis WV. (Blackwaterfalls)all the time my dads family is from there and the family still owns the house my grandma grew up in maybe something will be going on when we go down next time

I'd really like to see the dyno show up there. Thats a hike for me & the dyno will make it well worth the trip.

The one that is near fairmont, would that be down at the saltwell road exit at the old dirt track. I dont know if it was called I-79 track or Shinnston? I am kinda new to this part of the state.

Its about a hour from where you are thinking. You need to keep on going about a half hour down 79 and hit 33 east.

I wish I could say more but the contracts aren't signed yet. We should know soon.
