newer Sport bumper fit '97?

just out of curiousity would an 00-02 or whatever years they made the painted front "Sport" bumpers, would that fit on earlier models such as my 97??? Wondering if anyone might know. Thanks.

Pretty sure everything will fit up. But I do believe all the brackets need to be changed as well. Not a 100% sure on that though. The grill and its support are for sure different.

I have the 2000-2001 Sport Bumper on my 1998.5..... Ya need all the brackets and braces...and a grille

Yep!, makesure you get the bumper brackets and the grill frame from the sport truck to put them on yours, on the autos make surte your tranny cooler lines dont rub on the bumper frame also,... Had the 99+ sport bumper and grill on my 97 for a while, now I got the same on my 98......
