For about 2 weeks Dave has been battling an issue we could not find in a drag truck. The issue was flare shifting and the transmission seeming to shift to neutral during hard launches once it went to 3rd gear. After a complete tear down and MANY test runs it was determined that the shift issues were related to the truck flexing in the shift linkage area and loosing line pressure. He said recently he has had several guys call in with similar situations and wanted to have me spread the word on the net for him. Im only on a few sites so if you can please spread the word to anyone you feel may have an issue like this. Dave also said the best cure for the issue is to step up to a cable shifter to eliminate the stock linkage between the frame and transmission.

I just got back from picking the truck up and after closer investigation it shows that the engine mount and frame flex are both contributing to the loss of line pressure.

I thought he went to a BD pressure lock that runs off of boost to keep the line pressure up?

its a matter of the shift linkage pulling into neutral that is causing the line pressure loss.
