Nissan diesel questions

Hello,
I have a Nissan UD1200 6cylinder diesel. I had a 03 cummins HO that I just recently sold. :bang Boy is this nissan a pooch. :doh: It cant hold itself with a brisk head wind. Maybe its just the switch from what I was used too to what i have now. Anyway, with that being said, I want to improve the power on the nissan. There is not a lot out there on tech information for these nissans. If I cant get this nissan to perform somewhat satisfactory its getting a cummins swap!
1. Can these motors HP be bumped up somehow?
2. What can these motors handle?

Sad to say, there isn't much on here for diesels other than the big 3 trucks.

If you got us pics and what kind of pump the engine has, we may be able to help some.
 
The pump was just replaced with OEM equipment. I seem to be running into all kinds of issues trying to research this engine. They have been around for a long time and are quite reliable, just a turd on the road.
