I've been doing some research on the nitrous installations here on CompD and most of the setups already include 60+ mm aftermarket turbochargers.

I'd like to know what kind of conservative jetting someone could run without a huge risk of popping a holset due to overspeeding as a result of drive pressure.

I know this doesn't directly address fueling. My thought on this was that I could fuel until the turbo was almost off it's map, and then tune for the extra 50 or so hp available from a small kit, just enough to clear up the smoke.

How big can I go without doing major mods?

Just put an external wastegate on it and spray away. Its so easy to push a stock turbo too hard with fuel alone I don't think you'd see a lot of benefit from limiting the fuel to use the nitrous. $.02

Thanks

That's what I wanted to know. If there was enough left in the turbo to let the nitrous clean up the fuel without popping the turbo.

What kind of wastegates are cheap and easy setups?

I'm guessing by the time I put on a nitrous setup and a wastegate, i have almost enough money to pop for a turbo.

I say save up and get a turbo. It'll be easier on the engine and will make more useable power.
