no Bus??

dads pickup is f'd up. the tach works and thats it. the tranny is now a 2speed the takes off hard like it is locked up and stuck in second and wont shift any higher then 3rd. all the lights are on in the dash, the a/c dont work. drove it down interstate and it surged and it almost died and surged like the pump was goin out but now it runs fine. its got to be some thing electrical. the guys at the stealer ship looked at it for a hour and they didnt have any idea.

any ideas? whats no buss mean. and we are resetting the apps tonight.

Communication error somewhere in the can/bus system. My guess would be a fried PCM

Check the grounds and fused to the PCM. Friend recently had the no buss error, he didn't have all of the lights on though. He had disconnected his ground on the PCM. Turn the Key to the run position while your holding the trip reset in. This should give you a gage cluster check.
