Hey guys i was driving my 98 12v and shifted to 4th and got back in the throttle and went for about 3 seconds then motor rev'd up. I thought it had popped out of gear but it was still in so I stopped and Went to take off but now I have no gears and the clutch pedel is hard to push in. it feels like something is bound up. I thought it was throwout bearing but a friend tells me different and that im going to have to pull the trans. I think im going to try pulling the slave cylinder off first. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Also clutch has been replaced by pervious owner and was just a stock replacement

Yep, only 1 way to find out what u broke. Input, mainshaft, countershaft or clutch... PULL IT!!! Soo much fun... Good luck, Have pulled quite a few 4500s...

ok pulled it today guys. the center of the clutch was waxed there was only one little piece left and it said made in china.

I have dealt with South Bend clutch and have been really happy with their service. I have also heard good things about Valair.

That's why I said what I said. All of the clutch makers build good clutches and have good service. I use Valair personally, but SBC, EEP, Kenny's, etc are all good people.
