Well I was all pumped up to order a new set of Mach 4's until I found out that F1 is not taking orders for injectors. Apparently they are so backed up with orders they cant keep up with the demand. Whatever the case may be I guess I have to find a different brand. I could go back with Dynomite. I had no issues with them. I want a 150hp injector to run with my 62/71/14. Any recommendations with first hand experience?

I'm betting you get 20 different opinions, the thread is derailed into a pissing match, and your still left guessing what injector to buy....

That said, I'm very happy with Ryan's (RCP Diesel) injectors. 7x.010 (150s). I posted my opinion's in his section: Great Injectors! - Competition Diesel.Com - Bringing The BEST Together

I'm not paid or sponsored or any shenanigans like that.. I'm just happy with his product and his service.

I'm running a 62/68/14 from ED, so your results should be similar. I've probably got close to 700 miles on them since I posted that thread (I commute 175 miles per day, so the mileage adds up fast), and I still have nothing but positive things to say.

Good luck with your decision.. And hopefully it all stays civil in here. ;)

I have heard great things about weston's injectors and I have seen how awesome they are first hand. I am running DDP comps and I am very happy with them. If you have your heart set on Mach's look for some used ones.

I thought twice before I started this thread thinking about where it could go. In the end I may get nothing but some entertainment from it. Oh well, RCP Diesel was one place I was considering. Im glad to hear you are having good results.

I PM'd smokem 2 times about injectors for my truck. He didnt PM me back. That was early last week I believe. I have no other way to contact him. I figured he is very busy or maybe his PM box is full. I dont know.

I really like mine from RCP. Its my 2nd set that were made by JL.

Really liked both.

I've never had a vp44, mine was p-pumped when intalled. All opinions are biased but I'll give you my ratings anyway. I am trying to stay away from F1's because Don really wants to just make common rail stuff and I understand.
F1's are the best injector I have tried.
I have seen the smoke level from a set of RCP 7 x .01's and I would call them 2nd place. Scheids smallest injector would be 3rd, but I was not happy with them. DDP makes what I feel is the sorriest 24V injectors I have tried. Buddha power larger injectorswere terrible, but way over 150hp rating you are looking for. A set of injectors I tried from Monster pump Mike were very good, but again, higher than 150hp rating. I have a set of nozzles from Smokem, but have not tested them yet(again, higher than 150hp rating). I have attempted to try II injectors but both times they were defective so I have no experience with them and would not recommend them unless you like to abuse yourself. Sorry for a de-rail, but i was trying to be objective. I would recommend the RCP or Westons if I was looking for a 150hp injector. If you want bigger, I would recommend working with Weston. He is to my knowledge the only person making anything that could be called custom right now.

Good info Ron. What didnt you like about the DDP injectors? Do you know of another way to get a hold of Weston. He doesnt respond to my PM's, or hasnt yet anyways.

PM replied to. Ron, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Really anxious to get them tested. I am a bit intimidated by the flow numbers, but anxious to see how they do.
I always had smoke issues with DDP's. They seem to run really dirty with a p-pump. DDP's 12v injectors are supposed to work very well. I'm not sure why there is a difference.

Radiusing of the inlet from excessive honing is more evident on a VCO nozzle than a micro-blind, that is the difference.

My experience has been good with DDP. The ones I run with my p-pump now are very clean. This is in my set-up only, can't speak for anyone else.

Don't suppose you got a PM from me did you?

Chris

BTW, I've ran Jammer 5's and F1 M4's...of course the M4's were better, less smoke, smoother, and made a "bit" more power on the SOTP meter.

The Jammers had the pops balanced after install, and they were smooth, but the F1's were just better. That's the extent of my VP experience!

I ordered a set from Jacob at diesel auto power. Best price I could find and many ppl have had great luck with his stuff.
I ordered a 150 injector but he's making it a hair larger for me as I'm going to be building twins in the near future. So it'll be 160 ish.

He doesn't seem to be too popular over here but so far I like everything that I have got from him.

Can you just not find them in stock at any vendors?

Have you tried Rip (Source Automotive
) ?

I called Bean about them. He didnt have them in stock and said F1 isnt even taking orders for them right now. Its not a big deal. I have had a few sets of DDP sticks and wanted to try something different. My new injectors are on there way now from smokem and SDX.
