no heat

it's been cold around here and my truck idles most of the day and I sit in it and watch over operations. anyways my heater only works when I'm driving or rev it up. When it's at idle it blows cold I heard it could be some kinda vaccume leak. The dealership is backed up and said they couldn't get to it for nearly a month, by then I prolly won't need a heater. anyways anyone no what it might be and how to fix it.

chek the siver vac hose goin the water valve nex to evaporator.make shore u have coolant in the tank.
