started with bad balljoints and wanted to solve this problem FOREVER....thinking about carli and dynatrac but dont want baljoint any more....so king pin conversion arrive...and with a bonus...get rid of 400$ wheel bearing....here is the pic of the project dana60/aam hybrid

started with brake
modifying dodge caliper braket to mate with dana60 brake braket

Axle of aam and dana60 have the same ujoint cap diameter but not the same distance between ears....so axles modification

Steering is tight and smooter on a dead stop....little bit too sensitive....but on the ok side...some alignment issue but im fixing it now....it pull a little bit to the left....

One last thing....this conversion make the axle 1.25 in wider on BOTH side I keep the ujoit position and king pin pivot axe at stock place but hub are offset compared with stock unit

with stock wheel stock fender may be ok....but with after market wheel its perfect with 2.5 inch bushwacker....I also put wheel spacer in the back to keep a correct tracking

HO YEAH...for sure.....I love the freelock....4$ king pin bushing...35$ king pin bearing and 50$ wheel bearing and seal PER side

This is exactly what I was gonna do , got all the outer stuff just need the inner c's.
Great work , how did you set caster/camber?

I put the axle at level...you can use bump stop surface for pinion/caster ...you can assemble c's , knukles and spindle then you can check camber with a level on spindle ,caster with a protractor on king pin(6 deg with bump stop at level)....but if you c's are tight on tube camber doesnt realy have to be checked...on mine it was at -0.8 deg on both side...so i put moog camber shim to correct it...caster give 4 on one side and 3.6 on the other side with axle on truck...little low but ok
