More worried about the odometer thing as to whether or not it may be an ECM problem. The truck in my Sig.
Doesn't the "output speed sensor" in the tranny connected to the PCM? I am assuming that the ECM gets the data from the J1939 bus. I would think your speed sensor is kaput if everything else works and runs fine.
On PCM:
speed sensor signal is C2 pin 28, should be a Light Green with black stripe.
speed sensor ground is C2 pin 25, should be a dark blue with black stripe.
It was runnin great, then parked it. Then had to drive it, immediately no power but no light. Then parked it again. Even on the way home it would drive ok, but dead pedaled, tripped the light, made it home. Checked it next day with smarty.... tps code and 602 code(which smarty said is normal with fueling mods. Maybe I need to check the secondary turbo. BUT WHY IS THE DIGITAL ODOMETER NOT WORKING?
Well, now, you didn't say all that crap, you just said the odometer wasn't working. I would guess your ECM is kaschidt. Find another one from a buddy and swap it. It takes about 15 minutes and you don't want to buy an ECM without knowing for sure it is crapped. The PCM takes the speed and forwards it to the ECM and then I think it goes to the cluster. I'm reading speed from the ECM with my display is why I say this.
Remove the ECM plugs and clean the good and dry them and try that first. There is a screw in the middle of the plug. Don't try to just take them off and ruin them.
Sorry Jory, I was in panic mode. So I checked some stuff out. Poor connection at the plug, cleaned er up like ya said. Now the only problem I got is a burned up secondary turbo. As always thanks for helping my dumb ass everybody.LOL
