Non-IC VE to P7100 Questions???

I have read up on alot of the VE to P-pump swaps, but seems most are 91.5-93 Incercooled trucks that already have the 7mm head. I am going to go to a 7mm head, so that is no problem. I know I have to change pump, lines, injectors, timing gear, cover and thats it right? Or do you have to change the pistons? I have read that there are bowl differences. I thought i had read where weston said you could shim the injectors so that the spray pattern would be contained in the bowl, but can't find it. don't want to melt a piston due to bowl/spray problems...any help appreciated....
 
Need to sink the injector farther down in the head to keep the spray in the bowl. Send Weston a PM. He has posted the differance on here before.
 
They usually send different washers with the injectors so that should allow you to get the injector further in the bore if that is what is needed. I know guys that just swap it and go.
 
i p-pumped a non i/c motor once- worked great. i like the larger piston bowl.
