non innercooler egt's???

any one in here with a cummins conversion in chevy or ford have an idea what they are running as far as egt's? just trying to get an idea of what i am should be looking at if i am running way too high or about right. i have reached around 1200* while accelerating but while cruising around 70 mph i am about 800*

It all depends where you have the probe. But the numbers you are getting seem fine to me.

my probe is in the exhaust manifold right before it dumps into the turbo. so my temp readings are pre turbo.
