Hey guys, iv have been trying to tune my truck in some the past couple days since i havent had a good chance since i installed my turbo.

I am running a set of ddp 4 injectors, 4k gsk kit, laser cut dv's, fass 150/180 system, i just put my fuel plate back in last night and it is a 0 plate and i set it about 3/4 way forwards and i made sure that the afc housing was fully fowards also, then i turned that star wheel a few turns towards the motor.

The charger i am running is a garrett stage 3, 64.? mm inducer and a custom hx 40 exhaust flang. And my questions is i am only getting about 32 psi of boost out of this set-up and it is clearing the smoke on top end very well. To my beleive, i should have more than enough fuel to feed this size of a charger, and should be able to pull a higher amount of boost from it. IS this correct, or am i in need of more fuel?

Thanks in advanced
:Cheer:

Boost leaks? IMO U should have enuff fuel for that charger.

I wouldn't think it would clean up on the top end if it did have a leak but it could be...

I was looking at the numbers not the smoke issue....
I still think he has fuel for a 64.

There is a problem in the fuel delivery somewhere, you would be hard pressed to clean up full-cuts with any amount of air from a single....

i dont think your getting full rack travel. Check the afc and make sure its not binding. How is the afc set up?

I havent went very far into the afc, other than fuel plate and adjusting the star wheel, and making sure that the afc was all the way fowards

I told u to bring that piece down here so we can bump the timing and we can do those AFC mods.........

i also agree it should be something in the fuel delivery. i believe that its mst likely in the afc. the 0 plate doesnt really do anything after its moved half way anyway. so the afc has the be the hold back. when a plate is flat it lets the rack move as far forward as the plate is adjusted, the afc is really the only thing that i can see in my mind from what ive read that is keeping fuel from making it to the cylinder. but hey who knows, ive been wrong before...

boost line to afc in good shape?
May want to take the afc off and hook up regulated shop air to it. See how far it travels.

might try turnin in the pre boost fuel screw on the back of the afc. i've been messin with mine the last few days and found that with it ust touching the diaphragm shaft it would only make 30 psi. after a few turns and some test drives it ran a lot better with it in a bit and made about 35 psi at about 4 turns. also try and tune your afc after you do the mods.. that also made a big difference in mine

I appreciate the help, but i think i may have other issues if you read my other post.

Well i pulled my dv's out and they are not full cuts, i measured the shoulder and i got .028, what size dv are these? And if you havent read my other thread, i pulled the fuel plate out and it was the stock plate, so im going to cut it to either a 10 or a 100 plate. What would you recommend?

191's are .030"

There isn't much point to a plate profile, I'd cut it straight (like a #0) or include the lip in hopes of keeping the arm from going under and make it a 100 if you really wanted.

The AFC is really easy to modify and test

Might not be a bad idea to check the number on the pump to to make sure you have a 215 like they sold you. If you don't a 2095 plug would be fun

what he said,

if they lied about both the dvs and plate, how can you trust that its actually a 215?

I have ground the fuel plate to a 100 plate, installed it in the fowards position, ran a new boost line to the pump just to be on the safe side, reinstalled the dv's and took her for a test drive, still just shy of 30 psi. were should i go now.

maybe check to be sure shut off solenoid is coming all the way up?? fuel filter? prob not very likely its either, but could be a possibility.

Fass filter is new, less than 2000 miles on it, so is the soleniod, but ill double check it.

Fuel pressure under a load. Stretch the spring in the OV 3/16" and try it again. Like already said, check adjustmant on the shut off valve... make sure its pulled all the way up.
