np241hd swap shift patterns

ok so I got a used hd out of a 97 auto truck. I swapped inputs for my manual. Goin to put it together this weekend and got to thinkin the shifter and pattern is different. Anyone know if it will still engage in all four positions? any input is appreciated thanks!

I put a 98 in my 97 and it worked fine.

I didn't know if my shifter has enough throw to engage it into all positions

There should be an adjustment on the linkage rod. If that doesn't work, it shouldn't take much effort to replace the rod or extend it for more throw.
