NV-4500 Pops out of 5th when coasting?

So is this a sign 5th is nearly backed all the way off or what? It will not pop out when I am on the go pedal it is only when I coast? Any help would be grand!

When the synchros in dad's first vette were going bad the tranny would pop out of gear.

possiblly befor mine went it would make a god awfull noise when you backed out of it hard in fifth and it may of even poped out cant remb its ben a while

I had that problem with mine. synchros replaced and a shifter rod/slider and good as new. If you need it looked at soon i can see if the tech that did mine will help you out and check it over. I think i had 250 in the whole job from him and he checked everything.
