How long does a blanket have to be to wrap around the bell housing correctly? Our org. just voted to make them manditory last night, so I need to get one. Did a search but didn't come up with anything?:what:

The blanket is custom cut to fit, the universal ones will not work properly.

when i had mine made they said they must have a 6 inch overlap to be sfi legal.

My org. didn't get down to that specific just made it manditory to have one next year if your turning more than 4000 RPM's down the track, and I will be after a gear change.

I brought that up at the rules meeting, without making tattle tale tach's manditory there is no way to know. However, after seeing a SFI approved pressure plate come out in nearly 3 pieces of a friends truck this past year I want a blanket myself. Don't ask who's truck or clutch I'm not saying.
