Nv4500 shift pattern

I just recently did a nv4500 swap and on the shift knob the pattern is L 1 2 3 OD. Is this normal for an 4500??? If so what years did they go to the 1 2 3 4 5 on the shifter?? Thanks in advance

I believe 1994 and early 1995 had it like that.

My 95 and old 96 both had L 1 2 3 4 R

I know the chevy nv4500s had a 6.3 to 1 first gear, and dodge ran a 5.6 to 1 first gear. Thats the only gearing differance i know of.

My 94 has the L-1-2-3-....

My '96 is L-1-2-3-OD, my father's '97 has 1-2-3-4-5. The only difference in ratio from the '96 to '97 is reverse gear ratio.
