ive got a 93 that im fixing to pull my getrag out and put in a nv4500. im buying a complete 94 parts truck and willl be pulling the tranny out to put in mine. so my question is while i got the nv out i want to replace the input with a bigger one and will be buying a dual disk sinterated iron for sled pulling. should i use just a regular big shaft or a billet? also while i have the tranny out what else should i have done for strenght and relaiblilty? heard alot about the 5th gear nut. whats a good company to buy a kit to fix that problem? also wondering about the hydralics, can i use my stock 93 hydros or swap the 94 hydros or buy a heavy duty hydro when i order a clutch? thanks for any input guys

get the heavy duty hydo's and go all out with the input shaft the first time if its within your means so you dont have to yank it again.

billet is probably unnessesary, unless you are going to cryo your gears and such. but by the time you get enought power to break even the upgraded input you will proably start to see chassis problems with the 93

As for upgraded hydraulics, I heard the master and slave are the exact same part number as the OEM models. Just a braided steel line is the difference. Can anyone confirm?

I still have that adaptor plate if you want to use the stock 93 hydraulics.

ahale what kind of chassis problems do you speak of? id like to get this truck around 700 hp but might be awhile before i can get there. cyro has crossed my mind. not sure how much it cost to do all the gears though.

rickfox i might still want it. im buying a complete 94 truck so i was gunna use the engine adapter bellhousing and hydros from it.
