I am swapping a nv4500 into my 95. Will the PCM be compatable with the manual trans or will it need to be flashed? Is there anything else I should be aware of regarding electrical? I tried to search this but came up with nothing. Any help would be great

I'm with you on this one Adam being I'm doing a swap right now also. From what I understand the 95s are dumb enough that it won't notice.

Just have to wire up a neutral safety and a clutch pedal if you don't trust others. I plan on being only drive so I'm not worried about it.

These are all statements I have heard and haven't tested out. Yet.

Did this in my '95.

You are both correct. No flash needed. As HR said, you will need to wire up the clutch switch and the neutral switch.

clutch switch wires are under dash, if you had switch that clicks over master cyl. just unhook the yellow jumper that is there with green plug and plug it in. now under truck locate the plug that went into tranny that is round and has three pins in it cut it off and ground the center one, clutch switch should work. if your swap cam with all that it should you would have a small length of wire with the plug coming from the backup switch on the top of tranny, if not search around on here, roachie put a part number of the correct pigtail GM that will work. now hook those wires into the outer two wire from the tranny harness plug that you cut off. as for the ecm everyone that i have sold swaps to has always said the auto would work fine but you needed to swith to the manual if you wanted cruise to work (if you have it).

What do u have to do to get cruise to work? just swapt out the auto for manual in my 98.. also need backup light plug...
