NV4500 tail housing

So today I tore the truck apart to fix fifth gear nut and I pulled the old tail housing off and realized that the deal was ripped. I had an extra tail housing in the garage that I had picked up a while ago and put everything back together. When I went to put the linkage on for the 4 wheel drive stick I noticed that there was no holes for the linkage. I was just wondering if any of you have seen this before? If so what could that tail housing be from? The tail housing that I put on was off of a Nv4500 that was supposivly out of a dodge. Most likely going to drill and tap the tabs where the holes should be.

I think a later model nv4500, I want to say they do not have the holes in them for the linkage but I could be wrong.

1998 up used the 4wd shifter mounted to the floor and those holes were usually not tapped.
