i broke my input shaft on my tranny. Do they make a "billet" or forged input shaft for the NV5600 or am i stuck with the stock one?
 
Damn, that sucks! It's pretty rare I think, not sure on a billet piece, but you might look for some other problem that caused this
 
as far as i know there is only the stock replacement. a friend of mine broke his a few times and that was all he could find.
 
Dont hear of to many input shafts breaking on a nv5600. Hope mine dont. I havent heard of a billet one for our trannys. What abou the one they upgrade for the nv4500. Its billet right?
 
yeah it is but on the nv5600 you have to pull the gears out of the case to replace the input shaft, the 4500's you dont have to pull the gears out the shaft pulls right out from the front of the tranny think its a totally differnet setup
 
My cousin has sheared two inputs off. Once during a speed shift and once during normal driving. The replacement is much more complicated than the nv4500.
 
I thought they made something for the NV5600's. I did some searching and didn't find anything. I still think there is some kind of a upgraded input out there. I'll keep looking.........
