What are the benefits of the NV5600 over the G56 or vise versa? I have a few of each. I am building a couple of different trucks right now and was wondering which would be best suited for which application. We are building a 3500 dually with a p-pumped 12v for towing to the track and occasionally doing some sled pulling. We are also going to build a 1500 truck or two. Probably 1 for each auto/manual. So,which trannys to be used with which truck? Probably going to get either a 47 or 48rh for the auto right?
Thanks!

I prefer the way the G56 shifts. If I were building a manual drag truck, the G56 would be my first choice.

From what I've read on the G56, it won't live under in heavy abusive use. Case flexing and broken gears. Since NVG parts are getting hard to come by, I'll probably swap the NV4500 for a ZF6 when it blows someday.

48RE for an auto. Built of course. Stock for will burn up. Many of the parts in a 48RE will fit in a 47RE.
