How much is to much to worry about, I dont ever idle more than a minute or two at stop lights and mostly highway driving. I think wear looks good, especially since I pulled a metal chip off the magnet on last oil change. What tests can be done to check for injector leaking, would hpop cause fuel to get in oil. My local and only dealer doesnt seem to care about diagnosing problems until the truck doesnt start or move. 05 Truck has 23,000 miles roughly at oil change and approx. 5000 on oil. motorcraft 15-40 Visc. 63.9 fash. 385 fuel 2.5 insol. .3 Truck gets about 13.3 mpg and has low power especially when towing, and mileage drops to about 6-8 with 10k trailer Plus 8200 for the truck on 3.73 gears. Any Ideas My friends 05 gets 16-18 and towing he pulls the hills alot faster with the same weight. Both are stock

Yes definately check and keep an eye on your oil level! Mine is being picked up tomorrow with 8 new injectors because 5 of them started leaking and the only way to really tell is if you pull the dipstick and the level is high or you smell fuel in the oil! My '04 was built on 4/4/04 and it fell under the tsb 04-9-3 which is for trucks having problems with low fuel mileage, rough running, and high oil levels! Mine is a dually and I was averaging 16 mpg until I noticed it fell to 10.5 by the lie o meter!
