Hey Guys, just wondering if anyone out there runs with out the stock oiler cooler and runs an aux cooler/fan with a remote filter. I was playing around with my new charger setup and its looking like I am going to have some major clearance proplems with the stock filter location...Got to thinking...lose the cooler, hook up some AN Hose and run to a cooler and filter mounted somewhere else.

This would also work for those filling the blocks (Im thinking about it).

Thanks...Ryan

You can also remove the cooler from oringinal location and install to below fron bumper.

Mine is between frame and fadiator support.

The back side is identical to stock.

Behind the plug is spring and oil pressure relief valve.

I am again in work sire (8+ hous to home) and I should be back in home saturday. If YOu can wait, I can make pictures of mesurment of it.

Pressure regulating valve.. AsTroSS.. you have a part number for that plate?? (I think its a marine use???) Does that get rid of the cooler.. or just the filterhousing.. looks like there might be a passage going to the cooler???
Or does anyone else know of a remote mount filter housing that has a pressure regulating valve in it??
Bryan

Like you see in the filter head is also pressure relief valve (for blocked filter)

Thanks.. I like that setup.. (I'd like to block off the cooler, and cut the passage ways out to bypass the cooler.)
After reading my question, you really would need a 3rd line on the filter housing if it was the pressure regulating valve.
Bryan

2 lines only: in and out.

The middle plug is for pressure relief valve only. (see picture)

If you need I can shoot few picture more about relief valve..

Wait, I will check my camera, maybe the are better pictures.

Here is cover from inside with relief valve
