Does anyone make a breather (filter like) that will screw in or come close to fit in the oil fill cap? 24V VP injected

Thanks
Ian

I made my own... Go to auto zone or Advanced Auto and buy and small breather filter. I think the one I bought was for a rice burner, but its hanging out on the shelves, not a special item.
Then buy a AFTERMARKET oil cap (one without spring inside) and take it home, drill it out to the size of the rubber insert on the breather and super glue the rubber to the cap and you have your self a breather.

How did you hook the one from Jegs up to your valve cover, tig weld it? Also, what did you use to plug the front cover where the normal breather goes?

Looks awesome!:rockwoot:

What would be the purpose of having more than just one breather?

To have ample place to get rid of the blowby you have when running more boost and RPM's

IIRC, the Edelbrock vent just bolts to the cover with a gasket. The truck was still puking oil from the top breather and blew the tappet cover gasket before the extra breathers. Now it's fine.

are you still using you stock breather also? I hate how mine will build oil up on the front of the engine.

I'm pretty sure Lavon is using the stock breather, a 12v tappet cover breather and the valve cover breathers.

Lavon, How did you make your steel line for the heater core? any pics of it by any chance?

Thanks
Ian

I would like know how you painted you valve covers and intakes??? Did you just use engine paint or what???? Not trying to hijack, sorry. I also wanted to know about the vent

I painted mine with Kubota paint, rattle can then coated with some clear coat. works great! my twin piping will be orange as well!

He stole it off my '98 when it was parked behind his shed.

Brandon's right, I stole it off his 12V while he parked it @ my place. As far as painting the valve cover and intakes, the valve cover I used a high speed 15K rpm air grinder with a scotch bright pad to swirl the aluminum on top then clear coated it.

All the other parts - intake plenum cover, grid heater, air horn, intercooler pipes, thermostat pipe, TPS mount, and heater core line we powder coated, just a simple powder coating gun and an old kitchen oven that sits in the back of the shop.

The hardest part was sandblasting, grinding, and sanding everything to a smooth finish. the powder coating I let Brandon do...

I'm also using my stock breather on the front but just extended the tube all the way down below the frame, so I have the valve cover vented twice, a 12V tappet cover installed, and the stock vent.

Here are a few more pics... Masking off the head took a few hours:doh:
The intake plenum I polished the aluminum then used clear powder coat... turned out nicer then I imagined!!

So if you have blow by problems will doing this help you with power? Or does it just protect the motor?
