Oil gauge acting up

So here's my issue. I just recently put in a new water pump in my 2003 2500. When I drove it last night I noticed my oil pressure was maxed out so I let off the gas and the needle dropped a little bit then as soon as I gave it gas again the needle maxed out again. I was thinking the OPS any other ideas ??? thanks

The sensor doesn't actually fluctuate at all, the gauge starts working when its sees 8 psi, so it has to be ops but nothing to worry about

So should I replace the OPS cuz I don't want it saying I have 110 psi when I really only have 40
