Oil Pressure Gauge

Last night when I went out to start my truck, I noticed that my oil pressure gauge never showed it coming up to pressure. I reset my attitude monitor to show me oil pressure and it showed that I had 60psi at idle. So I guess i was wondering if it is just the oil pressure sender or if there could be anything else that would cause this to happen?

If the truck remains running and the Edge is showing pressure that tells me the sending unit is good and the signal is making it to the PCM. The fault is between the PCM and the gauge cluster. Try unhooking the batteries overnight to clear everything and see what happens. If that doesn't do anything remove the gauge cluster and check connections, maybe unplug/replug a couple of times.

Well thanks for the idea. I'm just wondering if it was just a fluk cause when I went to fire my truck up to leave work this morning the gauge was working just fine, so ill have to see what happens.

Sounds like a wiring issue, but will probably haunt you occansionally until you find it.
