Oil return line...

For those that are running twins and added an additional oil return into the pan.... where did you weld in the bung? I want to get this out of the way while the motor is out, but not sure of the best placement.

Any pics????

im gussing the 12v's dont have the freeze plug?

is the spot there, can you drill it out, tap it to 1" NPT?
 
Right about here, just above the normal engine operating oil level. Try to place it between the pan's bolt holes so you can still get to the bolts easily when necessary.

If your pan's like mine, it's of a laminated construction and has a sheet of plastic in between the layers of sheet metal (noise control). With the completion of the welding/torch-work, you'd do well to pressure wash between the sheet metal layers to get out all the crunchies.

i welded a old oil drain from a hx35 to my pan in the same spot as above pic. works great
