I sent my 215 pump to Columbus Diesel to have it flowed, they called me a few days later and said the pump was wiped, said the cam lobes were blue, and bad worn, the rollers are junk and the governor housing was full of metal. He said that it had definitely either been oil starved or had a lot of very dirty oil run through it for a long time. Problem is the whole time I owned the truck it ran great never a sign of pump issues. the truck had 115,xxx on it when I got it now it has 230,xxx and the whole time ive had it, it has had regular oil changes and never ran low and oil pressure is good. so my question is what could be starving my pump? anybody been through this? and Is there a way that I can put a gage on my pump somewhere to monitor pressure on the pump?

Thats the only thing i can think of. i havent had a chance to look at it yet, probly check it out monday. We'll see.

Is your vacuum pump leaking? Path of least resistance and all. Did you pull off the t-fitting that feeds the pump and the vacuum and check it for blockages?
